Bermuda Perfumery & Gardens

Hamilton Area

Bermuda has beautiful, fragrant tropical flowers, and the Lili Perfume Factory knew this back in 1929 when it set up shop here on Bermuda. They used the island's bountiful blooms and extracted natural frangrances to create popular perfumes. Today it's still a perfumery but also a tourist attraction. You'll walk amongst frangipani, jasmine, olenaders, orchis, and passionflowers, all of which become fragrant perfumes and are marketed around the globe. The actual factory is nothing more than a quaint centuries-old cottage with beams made of cedar. The real draw is the winding trail you can wander down, taking in the fragrant air, following the self-guided tour pamphlet available for free. There's a gift shop called the Calabash Gift Shop, in which you can buy fragrant soaps and other toiletries.

It's open every day during tourism season, and every day except Sunday during November to March, which is the off season. You'll find the Perfumery & Gardens on 212 North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish.
