Carriage Museum
St. George's
Cars didn't arrive on the island of Bermuda until teh mid-1940's, so one prinicple mode of transportation for many situations up to that point was horse-drawn carriages. As with many things from Bermuda's past, these carriages have been carefully saved and kept up, lovingly. The Carriage Museum has all sorts of these relics on display, including a surry with fringe on top and an Opera Bus, which carried six people.
To get to the Carriage Museum, go to Somers Wharf, which is an attraction itself, having undergone extensive and expensive renovation. The museum is actually on Water Street.
