Bermuda Town Hall

St. George's

The employees of St. George's administrative wing have it good. Not only do they live and work in Bermuda, their offices are located in an almost 200 year-old building full of history and notable stories. The two-story building was built in 1808, of cedar...even the panelling. The beautiful building was once the scene of a town-wide con, and today the con story just adds to the colorful history of the area. A travelling con artist by the name of Professor Trott arrived in town and promised to put on a great theatre show in Town Hall, for all of the residents of St. George. Well, he put on a show all right...while the citizens were enjoying Ali Baba and the fkorty Thieves, Professor Trott made away with an iron safe while no one was looking.

Today, visitors can go up to the second floor of town hall and enjoy a good slide show called About St. George's. It's free. The Town Hall is located at King's Square in the town of St. Goerge. Open Monday through Saturday 10 to 4. The slide show runs November through March on weekdays three times a day.
